REVIEW: Atkins Endulge Peanut Caramel Cluster Bar

Today's another day for an Atkins review! The subject we'll be focusing on today is this Endulge Peanut Caramel Cluster Bar. From its name and appearance, we can deduce that its a healthy, low carb alternative to a PayDay. But, you know, it just occurred to me- why does there have to be a healthy alternative to a PayDay? Why can't all PayDays be only 130 calories, have only 2g net carbs, and only contain 1g of sugar. Why do we have to be paying high prices for healthy candy alternatives, when all candy could be healthy? I mean, this system is an outrage! I DECLARE HERESY! (Or should I say HERSHEY? Nyuk nyuk nyuk!)   I mean, you might say that it's impossible for candy to be healthy! That's right! I'm starting a candy revolution! Viva La ResisTONCE! Let them eat healthy, reasonably-priced candy!
And you may say it's impossible for companies to make healthy candy and still make it in the food market, but I disagree. Atkins has proved that healthy candy can sell, as evidenced by this product right here! And there are other examples too! Maybe someday our shelves will be stocked with average price, healthy candy, but till' then, looks like we'll have to turn to the diet aisle for relief. I'm not scolding Atkins or the guys who make PayDays, just suggesting some forward-thinking is all.
Anyway, a 6 oz. box with five 1.2 oz bars costs around $4.88.

REVIEW: Fiber One 90 Calorie Chocolate Caramel & Pretzel Chewy Bars

You know what someone ought to make? Chocolate AND caramel covered pretzels. Chocolate and caramel and pretzels HAVE been incorporated together in different ways, like in Takes 5's and plenty of desserts, but what about just plain ol' chocolate-caramel covered pretzels? You know? You already have this idea to combine all those ingredients there, so why not just put it into actual pretzel form? They might have already made chocolate-caramel covered pretzels SOMEWHERE out there, but I sure haven't seen em'. So... hop to it, you food companies.
Anyway, with that nice little segway in mind, I present to you today the 90 Calorie Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Chewy Bar, brought to you by the brilliant minds of Fiber One.
One 4.10 oz. box with five 0.82 oz. bars costs around $3.34.

REVIEW: Fiber One Oats & Caramel Chewy Bar

Fiber One's Oats & Chocolate Chewy Bar is pretty mainstream: I've seen them available by the bar at gas stations, high school concession stands, standing at the grocery line while waiting to check out- you get the picture. Fiber One's Oats & Chocolate is a fairly popular snack bar, I guess. And for fair enough reason- I mean, I liked it. I'm sure most others do too.
But what about the other chewy bars Fiber One has released? Yes, there ARE others. They just have to be bought by the box. One of the different flavors happens to be this Oats & Caramel Bar. I wonder if it deserves to be the poster child of Fiber One's Chewy Bar line instead of the Oats & Chocolate? I guess we'll find out, huh? A 7 oz. box containing five 1.4 oz. bars costs around $2.98.

REVIEW: Werther's Caramel Coffee, Sugar Free Caramel Apple, and Sugar Free Original Hard Candies

Ahhh... Old people. What are the signs you're turning old? Grey hair? Wrinkles? Loss of hearing? Eyesight? Muscle mass? Going to bed at 4:30 in the afternoon? Stocking your fridge to no end? Crow's feet? Grandkids?
How about buying a whole bunch of hard candy and leaving it out on the kitchen table just to let it sit fester, and hopefully wait SOMEONE comes along to eat all it. (I mean, YOU sure can't... You probably have some health complication that keeps you from eating anything remotely sugary, as an old person).
Yessir. For some reason or another, old people have an affinity for buying hard candy (and even candy in general), whether they're going to eat it or not. While over at my G-ma's and G-pa's for Sunday dinner, there was- guess what? -hard candy in clear glass dishes sitting on the table. Like always. But my grandparents are the kind of old people who aren't supposed to eat hard candy.Or they just choose not to. But yet they have it anyway. And so the omnipresent candy sits, never diminishing in size.
So I decided to take it upon myself to eat some of that ever-opposing candy. It was the least I could do, really.
And while I was at it, why not get in a decent review from these candies as well? So here you go: a three-in-one review of different varieties of Werther's Hard Candies. We got Caramel Coffee, Sugar Free Caramel Apple, and Sugar Free Original. I'm not sure how much a bag of each of these would cost, as I got these little morsels from my grandmother.

REVIEW: Nature Valley Salted Caramel Nut Protein Bar

This is one of Nature Valley's new products from their recent protein bar line. I've tried their Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate flavor before (not as a review, but still tried it), and was not overly impressed. Perhaps this bar will taste a bit better. What can I say? I believe in second chances! And the temptation of salted caramel was calling my name! I thiiiiink a pack of five 1.42 oz bars is around $5.00. I've really got to start keeping track of prices, haven't I? Anyway, on with the review!

REVIEW: Torani Sugar Free Caramel Syrup

You know, I'll be perfectly honest here- I'm straight-up addicted to coffee. I used to hate it- It tasted terribly bitter, even when coupled with mounds of whipped cream, creamy milk, and squirt after squirt of chocolate syrup. And to make matters worse, I was taught that coffee could do no good- I heard stories of it stunting peoples growth, discoloring their teeth- I think I might've even believed it to be an agent of cancer. I never fully understood what made coffee so beloved by grown-ups everywhere.
My devotion for coffee sprouted about a year ago, when I heard that it wasn't really as bad for us as I had assumed- no, rather- It's actually a zero-calorie drink that boosts your metabolism and brain function. I didn't really like to drink it at first, I only did so for the health benefits, but I soon grew to love the dark drink. The rich, bitter taste coupled with the fragrant aroma- Soon, not a day went by where I didn't drink two cups of joe for breakfast every morning at least. But things got really bad when I started eating whole beans straight out of the bag like a pack mule to a sack of oats.
Because of this, my family signed me up for a CAA (Coffee Addicts Anonymous) Meeting to try and improve my situation. I was all like, "Hi, I'm Rianna, and I'm a coffee addict." And everyone else was all like, "Hiiii Rianna..." It was a real productive afternoon.
But everyone there seemed a bit out of it, if anything. I think they all could've used a cup of coffee. In fact, I'm feeling a bit out of it all just thinking about it. Please excuse me while I go to fill up my mug.
Despite my strong passion for black coffee, even I get to a point where I gotta put something in it. I mean, I usually will add a packet or two or sweetener- And there's nothing wrong with that, in my opinion. But sometimes, even that just isn't enough- And since I'm on a goal to gain weight and muscle now, I'm free to add as much milk as I like. It's pretty darn tasty! But then, don't you ever feel like having a fancy-schmany flavored latte from places like Starbucks, only right from the comfort of your own home? I do.
So it's nice to know that the people from Torani offer more than hundred different flavors- when you include both their regular and sugar free variations (the latter of which are sweetened with Splenda). Seriously, check out that list! There's even Bacon and Chicken N' Waffles! (Although I don't know why I'd use either in my coffee).
But then again, you don't have to use these syrups for your coffee. Otherwise, what in the Sam Hill would be Torani's reasoning for making a Coffee flavored coffee syrup? That'd be totally redundant. Yeah, you can use them for milkshakes, cocoas, teas, cocktails, mocktails, smoothies- You don't even have to use them for beverages. I like to mix some of Torani's syrup with plain Greek yogurt for a protein-packed, sweet treat. You can also add them to cakes, pies, tarts, cookies- whatever! Really, these syrups are just great ways to add some flavor to your food- and when you're talking about the sugar free syrups- for no calories whatsoever!
Like I said, I like to use Torani's syrups for zazzling up my Greek yogurt, and my coffee, obviously. I only purchase them when they're sugar free, and my supermarket doesn't offer up a whole bunch of options of those kinds. As in, the only carry the rather typical sugar free flavorings, like Hazelnut and French Vanilla. But I don't mind- I find those two super delicious! I'd make sure they were stocked in my kitchen all year round if I could. But this time, I decided to try something different and went for Torani's Sugar Free Caramel Syrup.
