REVIEW: Subway Honey Oat Bread

Well, looks like it's time for another Subway review! Ooooooh, they've released a LOT of new products lately... Could I be reviewing the Flatizzas? The Frito Sub? Well...? Nope and nope! Today I'm reviewing something REAL special... Subway's Honey Oat Bread! ...Yay!

Okay... well, Subway's Honey Oat Bread may not be new to most of you, but it's new to me. I've never tried it before. Honestly! And besides, the Flatizzas don't look very filling, and the Frito Sub isn't supposed to be all that tasty... The reviews I read were pretty negative. Plus, Fritos on a sub? I don't eat Fritos by themselves! So, why not review the Honey Oat Bread? What have I got to lose?

REVIEW: Subway's New Jalapeno Cheese Bread

Walking into Subway recently, I couldn't help but wondering, "Gee, what will I review now? If only they had a new bread out or something..." And lo and behold, there it was! Subway's Jalapeno Cheese Bread! I couldn't help but pump my fists with joy. Talk about good timing, right? I hadn't even realized Subway had a new bread out already. It seems like just yesterday since I reviewed their Garlic Bread. Gee... does that mean that one's been revoked already? Bye-bye Garlic Bread? Awwwwww.... I really liked their Garlic Bread! This Jalapeno Cheese stuff had better be a suitable replacement, or I'll be maaad...

REVIEW: Red Robin Red's Chili Chili

Red Robin has plenty of  delicious burger options on their menus (And sadly, the only one I've gotten a chance to review would be their 5 Alarm Burger), but what about when you're craving something other than ground beef on a bun? I was in a chili mood while eating out at Red Robin recently, so their new Red's Chili Chili sounded pretty appealing to me. Instead of ordering a typical burger dinner, I decided to go with a bowl of this comeback chili instead. One bowl-sized portion costs around $5.49.

REVIEW: Buffalo Wild Wings Naked Tenders

I do love me some saucy, spicy buffalo wings (who doesn't really?), but Buffalo Wild Wing's nutritional stats for theirs are pretty horrendous. Just eight wings have 768 calories- and really, eight is nothin'!!! I mean, my little brother can polish off about twelve whenever we go. I'm guessing a lot of you adults out there can eat even MORE than that given the opportunity to, am I right? And I'm sure some of you realize that BWW's wings aren't so healthy and are looking for a lighter option when you go out to eat there or whatever. Thankfully, Buffalo Wild Wing's offers Naked Tenders: plain, unbreaded, grilled chicken tenders. Sounds boring, but sounds like an obvious healthy choice as well. That's the sacrifice you'll have to make at BWW's, since the amount of healthy pickins' is slim. At least you get the sauce you want with your Naked Tenders. An order of six of them, along with your sauce of choice, costs around $9.29. 

LOCAL REVIEW: The Charcoal Grill & Rotisserie of Kenosha

While going for a shopping spree with my mother and grandmother during the weekend, Mom suggested we three should hit up the Charcoal Grill in town for lunch. I'd never been there before- or to any Charcoal Grill for that matter -so I figured, "First time- makes for a good blog post!"
Charcoal Grill has more than one location, but it's not a national chain either. You'll pretty much only find these restaurants in Wisconsin. I didn't know much about this place going in, but I could tell it was gonna have a few traits of the typical "grill" restaurant that's moderately successful but not incredibly successful- Basically, these types of joints have big portions for fair prices, a diverse menu, a sports theme, family-friendly dining, a cozy atmosphere, plenty of T.V's and specials for game day, and would rather focus on crowd-pleasing food than healthy food. I guess we'll see how many of these traits Charcoal Grill exhibits.

REVIEW: Red Robin's 5 Alarm Burger

Today, May 4th, celebrates two great events: My Uncle Mike's birthday, and National Star Wars Day. Happy Birthday Uncle Mike, and may the 4th be with you! (Bet you haven't heard THAT ONE before...Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!)

Anyway, I've got a review for all of you readers yet again! This time, my family headed over to Red Robin for dinner. I usually get the chain's Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich, since I'm all about teriyaki, but I felt that for a review, I ought to go with something I haven't had time and time again.

Red Robin recently asked their consumers which of their discontinued burgers everyone wanted to see return to their menu again the most in their "Bring My Burger Back" poll. The people spoke, and the clear winner was the 5 Alarm Burger, which received more than 56,000 votes altogether. Sounds pretty popular, no? But what makes this burger so darn delicious? Did it really deserve to come out on top of the poll results? This sounds like a case only a review can solve!
I forget how much my burger costed me- Mama was picking up the tab of course, and I was being plain, ol' negligent and didn't look at the receipt before we left. From past visits, I'd say my burger was around $10.00, including the modifications I made.
