REVIEW: Kashi Honey Almond Flax Chewy Granola Bar

Have you ever tried Kashi's Honey Almond Flax Cereal? Well, I have! It was pretty okay. I gave it a 6.5. But Kashi also has Honey Almond Flax Chewy Granola Bars, and I got to thinking, "How do those taste?" Better than the cereal, or worse? So now I set out on another review to find out!

REVIEW: Nature's Path Organic Sweet & Salty Mmmaple Pecan Chewy Granola Bars

So, dear readers: QUESTION TIME: How do you feel about ORGANIC granola bars? Me...? Well, the only organic kind I've ever tried- or at least even close to being called "organic" -is Kashi. And simply put, their granola bars didn't exactly give my taste-buds high hopes for the rest of the organic bar line. 

"So then, Ri," you then might proceed to say, "Why did you decide to do a post on an organic granola bar product today? You didn't make it sound like you were very interested in trying them."

Very true, dear readers! But sometimes, products just jump out at you so much that you just can't NOT buy them, no matter how uninterested in them some might expect you to be. ESPECIALLY if said product is in the dusty corner of the supermarket labeled "Reduced Produce."

Hahaha... What can I say? These Mmmaple Pecan Chewy Bars from Nature's Path Organic were going for less than HALF their original price! HALF, Jim!!! And I think the only problem with them was that the box was pretty dented. Yeaaaaah, theres a chance that they could be totally expired and harboring tons of flesh-eating bacteria, but I'm gonna take my chances! Adventurous eater, awaaaaaay!

REVIEW: Fiber One Oats & Caramel Chewy Bar

Fiber One's Oats & Chocolate Chewy Bar is pretty mainstream: I've seen them available by the bar at gas stations, high school concession stands, standing at the grocery line while waiting to check out- you get the picture. Fiber One's Oats & Chocolate is a fairly popular snack bar, I guess. And for fair enough reason- I mean, I liked it. I'm sure most others do too.

But what about the other chewy bars Fiber One has released? Yes, there ARE others. They just have to be bought by the box. One of the different flavors happens to be this Oats & Caramel Bar. I wonder if it deserves to be the poster child of Fiber One's Chewy Bar line instead of the Oats & Chocolate? I guess we'll find out, huh? A 7 oz. box containing five 1.4 oz. bars costs around $2.98.

REVIEW: Kashi Cherry Dark Chocolate Chewy Granola Bar

The first Kashi granola bar I ever reviewed was their Mocha Almond flavor, and since that one wasn't too bad I went on a quest for another tempting sounding flavor to try. Kashi's Cherry Dark Chocolate sounded pretty nice- I mean, aren't chocolate-covered cherries just delicious? -so I settled on buying a box of those. One 7.4 oz. box  with six 1.2 oz. bars costs around $4.09.

REVIEW: Nabisco Chewy Chips Ahoy! Brownie Filled Soft Cookies

And now a review for a product to buy during those times when your head says, "I want a cookie," but your heart says, "I want a brownie": Nabisco's Brownie Filled Chewy Chips Ahoy! Cookies. My mom got a package of these hybrid cookies as a freebie from her company, and the only thing I could think of when taking these out of the plastic bag full of free food was, "Uh, WOW. Damnnnnn. These sound mind-blowingly delicious." I mean, as if Chips Ahoy! cookies weren't good enough on their own. Now they are simply the mere SHELL to a fudgy, sweet chocolate brownie. Sounds soooo good! A 9.5 oz. package of cookies costs around $2.39.

REVIEW: Fiber One 90 Calorie Chocolate Peanut Butter Chewy Bars

You've probably heard of Fiber One's 90-Calorie Brownies, but did you know that they make 90-Calorie Chewy Bars as well? Along with the classic Chocolate and delicious-sounding Chocolate Caramel & Pretzel, Fiber One also has made a 90-Calorie Chocolate Peanut Butter Chewy Bar, which I will be reviewing today. An 8.2 oz. value pack box containing ten 0.82 oz. bars costs around $4.99.

REVIEW: Quaker Blueberry Chewy Yogurt Granola Bar

Well, here was a review I wasn't even PLANNING on doing: See, I was sitting with a couple of friends during Literature class, and one of them grabs this Quaker Blueberry Yogurt Granola Bar from her backpack and holds it out, asking, "Anyone want this?" I DID, but I couldn't just TAKE IT, so I offered to trade. But after realizing their really wasn't anything in my lunchbox I wanted to give up,  I joked, "You want my carrots and cucumbers for it?" and to my disbelief, my friend said, "Yeah- cucumbers sounds really good right now."

REVIEW: Kashi Apple Cobbler Soft n' Chewy Bars

Soft n' Chewy is an awfully tantalizing subtitle, isn't it? Especially for someone like myself, who likes her cookies to be super-soft over crunchy and her bacon chewy and limp over crispy and stiff. Maybe you aren't like that, but either way, I'm reviewing these Soft n' Chewy Apple Cobbler-flavored bars from Kashi and there's nothing you can do to stop me. So there- take that, you Hard n' Crunchy crazies! A 7 oz. box containing five 1.4 oz. bars cost me $4.09.

REVIEW: Kashi Dark Mocha Almond Chewy Granola Bars

I have an affinity for almonds- they're my favorite nut, when it comes down to it. I also have an affinity for dark chocolates- they're my favorite variety of chocolate, when it comes down to it. I also have an affinity for mochas- they're my favorite coffee drink, when it comes down to it. 

At least I THINK they would be... I haven't had what my mom calls "frou-frou" coffee drinks in years. But hey, it's coffee with milk, sugar, and cocoa- what's not to like? So I decided to give these Dark Mocha Almond Bars from Kashi a chance when I was at the grocery store debating what granola bars to taste-test for the week. REVIEW: Fiber One Protein Peanut Butter Chewy Bar

Peanut butter seems almost like a cliche' protein bar flavor, doesn't it? I mean, what major protein bar brands DON'T have a PB-flavored product, huh? Name ONE! Yup, betcha' can't! Why is that? Is it because peanut butter is an easy flavor to incorporate into workout bars? Is it because PB is known for it's protein capacity? Or is it just because peanut butter is a popular flavor here in the West???

Well, I'm sure any of these statements could be considered the right answer. Anyway, today I'll be reviewing Fiber One's Peanut Butter Protein Bar. One box containing five 1.17 oz bars costs around 3 to 5 dollars.

REVIEW: Fiber One Protein Coconut Almond Chewy Bars

Fiber One's recently been adding protein to their chewy snack bars, which are already full of, well... fiber. Doy.
So far, they've released three different flavors, and, so far, I've tried three. But the one I will be reviewing in depth this time is the Coconut Almond variety.
This flavor immediately caught my eye because of my affinity for coconut... and almonds. Sounds a lot like an Almond Joy bar, right? That's what I thought too.
One box, which includes five 33g bars, costs around 3-5 dollars.
