REVIEW: Girl Scouts Cranberry Citrus Crisps

Guess what season it is!!! Winter? No!!! Valentine's? No!!!Feburary? No!!! IT CAN ONLY BE GIRL SCOUTS COOKIE SEASON... The season where you can buy overpriced cookies from your cute niece, or daughter, or neighbor, or whatever. Seriously, most of people's February expenses HAS to come from Girl Scouts Cookies (Honestly guys- we ALL know you're just gonna get Some Dumb Little Thing from CVS for your gal on Valentine's, so that don't got the cost of Girl Scouts Cookies beat).
So, in lieu of the Girl Scout Cookie Season, we'll be reviewing one of the latest flavors to appear on their order forms: these Cranberry Citrus Crisps. I think they're Girl Scouts' latest attempt at trying to make a "healthy" cookie flavor, as they're not selling their godawful Mango Cremes that were available last year, which were the previous "healthy" cookie.
One 6.3 oz. box costs around $4.00.

A 4 cookie serving (34g) contains 150 calories, 40 of them being from fat, 4g of total fat, 0g of saturated fat, 0g of trans fat, 0mg of cholesterol, 70mg of sodium, 26g of total carbohydrates, 1g of dietary fiber, 10g of sugar, and 2g of protein.

I think what makes these cookies so "healthy" is the fact that they're made with whole grain. Look, there's even three little wheat stalk engravings right there on the cookie! Another reason one might believe that these cookies are "healthy" is the fact that they're made with cranberry bits and taste like citrus.

The actual "cookie" part of these crisps is hard and crunchy, yet melts away in the mouth- just like Girl Scouts Shortbread (or Trefoils, as some of you may know them to be). The berries break up the crunchiness by occasionally adding some chewiness to the texture. You can definitely taste the citrus in the cookie part, but not so much the cranberries.

Overall, this cookies were very sweet and tangy- kinda tasted like citrus-infused Girl Scouts Shortbread. The flavor of the cranberries, however, was not as prominent as the citrus, even though there are clearly plenty cranberries in here. Also, these cookies were kinda lacking in originality- it's as if people working in the Girl Scouts Lab just started mashing together their Lemonades and Shortbreads and watched what came out of it. But overall, I'd say these are a Girl Scouts Cookie to buy during the Cookie Season.
I'd give Girl Scouts' Cranberry Citrus Crisps a 7.5/10.
