REVIEW: GoLean Crisp! Cinnamon Crumble Cereal

I've progressively been going through all the cereals that Kashi has to offer, whether it be super-protein packed cereal, deliciously fruit-infused cereal, or heart-shaped cereal. There have been hits, there have been misses. It's been a fun journey so far. And now I'm here to review their Cinnamon Crumble Cereal. I've had this cereal once before, but I never really gave it an in-depth taste-test, so now it's time to correct my errors and review this stuff!
A 14 oz. box costs around $3.99.

A 3/4 cup of cereal (51g) contains 190 calories, 35 of them being from fat, 4g of total fat, 0.5g of saturated fat, 0g of trans fat, 1g of polyunsaturated fat, 1.5g of monounsaturated fat. 0mg of cholesterol, 130mg of sodium, 190mg of potassium, 34g of total carbohydrates, 9g of dietary fiber, 10g of sugar, and 10g of protein.

Want to know the difference between Kashi GoLean Crisp and Kashi GoLean Crunch? Well, for one, the crisp isn't as crunchy and the crunchy isn't as crisp. For two, the granola-like clusters are noticeably larger in the Crisp cereal. These clusters' size help to prove my point, and, on a side note, are speckled with cinnamon.

The flavor of this cereal is chock full of cinnamon, but the cozy kind. It's a warm cinnamon flavor- very natural. Not very sweet but no so lacking of sweetness that its disagreeable. I guess I'm just used to the sweet, cinnamoniness of Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Anyway, this cereal is pretty crunchy by itself, yet has a bout of airiness to it- quite the agreeable combination. Overall, this cereal is quite yummy dry.
This kind of Kashi remains pretty crunchy in milk, but there is a little sog to some of the cereal pieces- not too bad though.  The cinnamon dust coating the cereal washes off the pieces and into the liquid below, making for some pretty tasty after-milk.

To conclude, this was a pretty great variety of Kashi cereal. The cinnamon flavor was solid, and the cereal pieces were solid texture-wise. This is a great cereal to eat dry, but it's also very good in milk as well. Since this cereal is not unlike granola in taste and texture as well, you could put it in yogurt or have it as a snack. It's very versatile. This cereal could've been a bit sweeter- maybe add a pinch of brown sugar. As long as you can live with a milder cereal, this is a great choice next grocery trip. I would buy this again.
I'd give Kashi's GoLean Crisp! Cinnamon Crumble Cereal an 8/10.
