RECIPE: Eggnog-Spiced Banana Bread

Have leftover eggnog you need to use up from the holiday season? And hopefully some over-ripened bananas as well? Then does Sweet and SavoRi have the recipe for you! Today I'll be showing you how to bake a sweet loaf of banana bread infused with eggnog flavor. You'll love it, whether it's the holidays or not!

Ingredients you will Need:

  • 3 large bananas
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup eggnog
  • 4 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg, more for sprinkling
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Directions for Eggnog-Spiced Banana Bread:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Peel the bananas and mash them in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Add sugar to the bananas and stir.
  4. Add melted butter and eggnog to the mixture and again stir.
  5. Add flour slowly to the banana mixture, stirring it in as you go. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and baking powder to the mixture and stir.
  6. Pour the banana bread mixture into the greased loaf pan. Sprinkle top with more nutmeg.
  7. Bake for a hour and twenty minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Mash up the bananas...

...Then add the rest of the ingredients in order. Nothing to it, really.

Then just pour the banana bread into your loaf pan, add the extra sprinkle of nutmeg, and baked for around an hour and twenty minutes. Easy!

There you have it! I hope you enjoy this new banana bread recipe. Serve it during the holidays, serve it at special events, serve it anywhere! It is sure to please, regardless of your feelings toward eggnog.

Till' then, this has been RiRi ri-porting!
