REVIEW: Nabisco belVita Mixed Berry Soft Baked Breakfast Biscuit

Sometimes, in the morning, you need to whip up something quick and easy for breakfast if you want to make it to wherever you need to be...Like cereal! Cereal takes all of two minutes to prepare. But even if that's too much trouble, you can take one of these belVita Soft Baked Breakfast Biscuits out the door and along for the morning commute. An 8.8 oz. box containing five 1.76 oz. biscuits costs around $2.98.

One 50g biscuit contains 190 calories, 60 of them being from fat, 7g of total fat, 0.5g of saturated fat, 0g of trans fat, 2g of polyunsaturated fat, 4g of monounsaturated fat, 0mg of cholesterol, 150mg of sodium, 75mg of potassium, 33g of total carbohydrates, 5g of dietary fiber, 10g of sugar, and 3g of protein.

This biscuit is very crumbly, and as its name would suggest, very soft. It's crafted into an oval-like shape and is pretty thick in density.

Now, I'd never, ever eaten any belVita products before this one so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I was delighted by the sweet and berry-ful taste of the biscuit. The texture of the bar was soft and moist, with vibes of an oatmeal-esque feel. This bar also tasted like oatmeal- like a packet of the instant berry-flavored kind. Overall, it was delicious. A legitimate complaint I had about this biscuit was that there were only about two berries in the whole entire thing. I had a couple more belVita biscuits before I wrote this review too, and all of them yielded pretty much the same result. Although this bar tasted a LOT like berries, you'd think there'd need to be a few more of the actual things in each biscuit. But the berries that were there were sweet, plump, and juicy.

All in all, my first experience with a belVita product was a great one. This was a scrumptious biscuit that would make a nice, light breakfast or snack. It was chock full of sweet, berry flavor, while at the same time not being chock full of actual berries. But, oh well. The belVita biscuits I tried were expectional little treats and I wouldn't mind purchasing them again.
I'd give Nabisco's belVita Mixed Berry Soft Baked Breakfast Biscuit a 7.5/10.
